The hamburger combo poutine and spruce beer was fantastic. The burger was simple but perfectly cooked. The cheese curds were very squeaky. I really enjoyed the spruce beer, too. Highly recommended for some really good poutine!

I love hole in wall restaurants, and this was just great. The burger and fries hit the spot. The poutine was good. I like that they had the option of mini-poutine. It was just perfect for my kids.

We revisited Montreal over the long weekend with our daughter and our 1st meal was poutine from Paul Patates which was low key and popular among texi drivers. I am not a fan of fries so usually don’t like poutine but their poutine was impressively satisfying with rich gravy.

I read an article about places where locals love to eat, so I decided to check it out. The diner was retro-looking, the employees were friendly, and the food was very good. As you can see, they give you a good deal of food for your money. It was the first time we tried the spruce beer, which was an acquired taste. Not saying it was bad, but it took me a minute to get used to it. Overall, I am very glad we stopped by for a quick bite before our long trip back home.

Best overall classic poutine in the city everything is done right, the sauce is neither too thick or runny, nor is it overly salty. Fries have a nice crispness and the cheese is up to standards. Also can't forget the spruce beer. Hidden gem in PSC, wish it was open on Sundays!

Came across this place by chance and remembered seeing it on a few tv shows so decided it was a must try and was very happy that I did . The hot dogs and poutine were amongst some of the best in Montreal and to top it off the spruce beer was a great addition. I can’t wait to go back when I’m in town and I recommend this place to everyone

I’m not normally a fan of poutine, but the poutine here is simply the best I’ve ever had anywhere - real squeaky curds and fries that were so good and fresh they were very nearly sweet. Service is very friendly, the ambiance local, nostalgic, Quebecois - a last vestige of its kind in Montreal. Looking forward to going back again to try the spruce beer (not real beer, but like root beer). A must try.
